Easter Brunch

Today was the coldest Easter Sunday I can remember. I awoke to find a heavy dusting of snow coating my daffodils, which are now all wilted. Soon the snow had melted and Doug took Katie, Maggie and me to a lovely Easter Brunch at a nearby restaurant, called Joseph Decuis, in Roanoke, IN.
Joseph Decuis was founded in 1996 as the private dining facility for American Specialty and was opened to the public in 2000. It is known for its distinctive reputation for superb gourmet dining. Here was today's menu:

Amuse Bouche *
Carrot and Ginger Soup with Orange Agrumato
Choice of Salad:
Hearts of Palm
Artichoke Hearts, English Cucumbers, Bibb Lettuce,
Tarragon Remoulade, Jumbo Lump Crab Meat
Spring Mista
Mesclun Greens, Strawberries,
Goat Cheese, Honey-Champagne Vinaigrette

Choice of Entrée:
Thai Barbequed Maple Leaf Farms Duck Breast
Thai Jasmine Rice, Wok Flashed Vegetables, Mango-Habenero Mojo
Wild Mushroom Crusted Jail Island Salmon
Celery Root Puree, Haricots Vert, Roasted Shiitake Mushrooms, Red Wine Reduction
USDA Prime Petite Filet Mignon
Potatoes Anna, Asparagus, Baby Carrots,
Black Truffle Demi Glace
Lobster Ravioli
Tender Pasta with Maine Lobster, Artichoke Hearts, Parmesan,
Light Cream and Brunoise Vegetables

Choice of Dessert:
Caramel Pot de Crème
Whipped Cream, Tuile
Carrot Cake
Cream Cheese Frosting, White Chocolate Tuile
Flourless Chocolate Gateau

* After reading the menu and learning that Amuse Bouche means "amuse mouth", it is safe to say I was expecting a party in my mouth! We sat in a lovely solarium in our Easter finery and were graciously waited upon!

It's great to have a Cici sighting and know all is well now that you're moved. Good to see Doug, Maggie and Katie to. I guess it was a COLD Easter pretty much all over the country, we were just thankful that we didn't have to hide our eggs in the snow here.

That was the best Easter I've ever had -- including when we met up with the Glowatz family!
